Summer Quote:

” When summer opens,
I see how fast it matures,
and fear it will be short;
but after the heats of July and August,
I am reconciled, like one who has had his swing,
to the cool of autumn.”
– –   Ralph Waldo Emerson

” Hot town summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn’t it a pity
Doesn’t seem to be a shadow in the city.”
– – Joe Cocker

The economic times in the country is really not the best. Yet, we are hopeful and carry on .. as usual. We are a resilient bunch and even though we are not as happy with the political climate and all the (empty) promises that were given .. we are still hopeful.

The saying is .. where there is life .. there is hope. And so, we hope, for good health care, more jobs, etc.

This was written by a dear friend and mentor:

Life’s task is to be like an otter, seeking adventure and joy in our
endeavors, instead of being like a beaver, always tied to work that
must be done and feeling guilty when it is not accomplished.

– – Oliver Wendell Holmes, The Old Player

‘ Summer is the time when one shed’s one’s tensions with one’s clothes,

A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief –
that all’s right with the world.’
– – Ada Louise Huxtable

‘ Deep summer is when ..
laziness finds respectability. ‘
