Creating your own blends for aroma therapy or skin care can be bewildering when you have to choose a carrier oil.
There are several different kinds of carrier oils and all will affect your skin in different ways.
By learning about the make up of each oil, you will find the best one for you or your product.
Carrier oils vary dramatically in texture, smell, consistency, and appearance.
They also vary in biological make up. This means skin and body types will react differently to each oil.
Sweet Almond is a light oil that may have a faint scent and is good for many skin types. It contains vitamins A, B, and E which help skin’s elasticity, making it more younger looking. Since it is so light, it is easily absorbed into the skin so there is no greasy residue or possibility of clogging pores. If used on its own, it can also be used as a hair treatment. By using it in a hair mask or a few drops in your conditioner, you hair will be stronger and shinier.
The earliest use of almond oil dates back to the Romans who used almond oil extensively in skin care preparations. Sweet Almond is a well tolerated, light, non intrusive base oil for massage.

Hemp oil has a characteristic deep green liquid with a light and nutty scent oil that contains both Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids.
This gives skin a protective layer when used as a moisturizer.
Hemp oil with high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids and low levels of saturated fatty acids
this material is a unique oil known for its healthy properties.
Jojoba Oil is actually a liquid wax. You can blend Jojoba with lighter carrier oils which will help keep your skin hydrated and young looking.
The oil is virtually odorless and has a long shelf life. Because it is a liquid wax, it has no rancidity levels and has a long shelf life.
Using this oil with other carrier oils and essential will help keep skin looking moisturized and healthy.
Before using any of these carrier oils in products or on your own skin be sure to research possible allergic reactions or side effects. Carrier oils vary dramatically and can affect skin in several different ways. If researched and tested well, carrier oils are a great way to use essential oils in products and keep skin looking young and healthy.
